William H. Brewner

	William H. Brewner, 86, of Du Quoin, passed away Monday, June 30, 2003 at 8:40 a.m. in Fair Acres Nursing Home.
	Mr. Brewner was the retired Chief of Security at Chicago Aerial Industries.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Elks, Masons, Du Quoin VFW and American Legion, Scottish Rite, Shriners and was Du Quoin City Commissioner for two terms.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
	Mr. Brewner was born March 24, 1917 in Du Quoin, the son of James and Glenna (Thrope) Brewner.  He married Gusta Maple on May 28, 1955 in Du Quoin and she preceded him in death on February 6, 2000.
	Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Bill Brewner of Neosho, Mo. and Michael Brewner of Du Quoin; four step-sons, Jack Eaton of Ft. Worth, Tex., Carl Dean Eaton of Homewood, Lyman Eaton of Peoria and Thomas Eaton of Christopher; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.
	Funeral services were Thursday, July 3 at 10 a.m. at Neal-McClure Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ted Clark officiating.  Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery at Du Quoin.
	Friends called at the Neal-McClure Funeral Home in Du Quoin on Wednesday, July 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until time of services.
	Memorials may be made to the Du Quoin Indian Booster Club.
